Preston O. Duppins Jr. brings more than 35 years of experience helping professionals, business owners, and families make smart financial decisions with clarity and confidence. As Founder and Managing Partner/Advisor of Avenia Wealth Advisors, he is focused on building meaningful, long-term relationships and delivering advice that is practical, personalized, and results-driven.
Preston’s approach is simple—understand what matters most to each client, then build a strategy around those priorities. He works closely with clients to align investments, income planning, tax strategy, and legacy goals into one cohesive plan. Whether growing wealth, preparing for retirement, or navigating a major life transition, his role is to help clients make informed decisions and stay on track.
Through Avenia Wealth Advisors, Preston provides access to a broad range of planning strategies, including investment management, retirement planning, tax-efficient strategies, estate planning coordination, and risk management. His planning-first philosophy is designed to help clients protect what they’ve built, reduce unnecessary taxes, and create a clear path toward long-term financial independence.
Preston began his career at Morgan Stanley, where he developed a strong foundation in wealth management and advisory services.
Beyond his professional work, Preston has remained deeply committed to serving the community. He has supported numerous nonprofit organizations through fundraising efforts, sponsorships, mentorship, and financial education initiatives. He has served on community and advisory boards, participated in speaking engagements, and worked alongside local leaders to help strengthen businesses, families, and underserved communities. His passion for service reflects his belief that success is measured not only by what you build, but by how you help others grow.
Originally from Western Maryland, Preston studied Business Administration at Atlantic Christian College, where he also competed as a collegiate basketball player. After college, he served in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Sergeant and earning multiple honors.
Outside of work, Preston is a dedicated husband, father of two, and proud grandfather.
